• Proficiency in process mapping, workflow analysis, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate current manufacturing processes, workflow systems, and production methods to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
• Design and implement process improvements, workflow optimizations, and lean manufacturing solutions to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning analyses, and resource utilization assessments to optimize operational performance.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs and production metrics to track the effectiveness of improvements.
• Support the design and layout of manufacturing facilities and workstations to enhance ergonomics and safety.
• Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and develop preventive and corrective measures.
• Participate in cross-functional project teams to support new product launches and process implementations.
• Prepare detailed reports, recommendations, and presentations for management on process improvements and cost savings.

About the role

Ionics EMS Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team in Cabuyao City, Laguna on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Engineering department, where you will play a crucial role in optimising our manufacturing processes, improving operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our facilities. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
• Minimum of 1–2 years of professional experience in industrial engineering or process engineering roles within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement practices
• Proficiency in process mapping, workflow analysis, and data analysis tools and software
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and develop practical, cost-effective solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy in all work

Preferred: Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies

Preferred: Experience in electronics manufacturing or the electronics industry
