Job summary

John Clements Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Import/Export Specialist in the Philippines to manage end-to-end import processes and ensure compliance with customs regulations.

The role requires coordinating with freight forwarders, customs agents, and warehouses to ensure timely delivery and accurate declarations. The ideal candidate holds a valid Customs Broker license, 3-5 years in import/export operations, and proven management experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in import and export operations.
• Experience with freight forwarders and customs; strong knowledge of procedures, taxes and duties.
• Licensed Customs Broker (required).
• Experience handling Bureau of Customs (BOC) audits.
• Proven management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrates a strong mindset aligned with the 4Cs: Change, Challenge, Competition, and Communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage all importation process as Importer.
• Understand HS, duty, and import regulations (FDA, DTI, etc.).
• Check shipping documents and declare forms for customs clearance.
• Coordinate with Customs Agent for clearance and Warehouse for delivery.
• Manage and monitor all import licenses and permits validity.
• Calculate shipping costs for Overseas and Domestic transactions.
• Calculate product costs including product price, ocean freight and other charges.
• Handle BOC audits and maintain documentation.

• Responsible for all importation process as Importer

• Understand HS, duty, and required import regulation for import process (FDA, DTI, etc.)

• Check shipping document and confirm declaration form for custom clearance

• Coordinates with Custom Agent for custom clearance, and Warehouse for cargo delivery

• Manage & control all import license & permit validity

• Cost calculation for all shipping cost in Overseas & Domestic transaction

• Calculation for product cost with product price, ocean freight and other charges.

• Handling BOC Audit and manage of documentation
