Glades International Corporation is looking for an Import/Export Specialist in Laguna, Philippines to manage end-to-end import and export activities. You will handle documentation, coordinate with freight forwarders, and ensure compliance with customs regulations to support efficient international trade operations.
The role requires 2–5 years in import/export or logistics, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Excel.
The Import/Export (Impex) Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the company's import and export activities, ensuring the timely and compliant movement of materials, finished goods, and other shipments across international borders. The role handles shipping documentation, customs coordination, logistics providers, shipment monitoring, and regulatory compliance while supporting efficient and cost-effective international trade operations.
Coordinate the importation of raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, spare parts, and other company requirements
Monitor shipments from supplier dispatch through arrival, customs clearance, and final delivery
Prepare and verify import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/air waybills, certificates of origin, and other required documents
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, airlines, and internal departments
Monitor vessel/flight schedules and shipment ETAs
Ensure timely submission of documents for customs clearance
Resolve shipment discrepancies, documentation issues, delays, and customs-related concerns
Coordinate export shipments and ensure products are dispatched according to customer and company requirements
Ensure import and export transactions comply with applicable customs laws, regulations, and company policies
Monitor international freight movements and coordinate delivery schedules
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferably 2-5 years of experience in import/export, logistics, customs, or international trade
Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs documentation
Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple shipments and deadlines
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food, pharmaceutical, or trading industries is an advantage
Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
