Job summary

Manulife is seeking an Operations Analyst to support account reconciliations, accounting activities, and payment processing within the Retirement Operations team. The role involves ensuring accuracy, resolving exceptions, and enabling timely financial operations.

You will handle journal entries, general ledger analysis, and settlements, while collaborating with partners to drive process improvements and fund-related activities.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of college completed (undergraduate).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure suspense accounts remain in good standing.
• Research and resolve reconciliation exceptions and out-of-balance items within established timelines.
• Support day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and general ledger analysis.
• Prepare and validate dividend and commission payments and support other reconciliation activities (ACH, wires, checks, tax remittance).
• Collaborate with business partners to identify process improvements and support fund-related activities.
