Job summary

Manulife is seeking an Operations Analyst to join the Retirement Operations team in the Philippines. The role supports account reconciliations, journal entries, settlements, and payment processing while ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of exceptions.

The candidate will research reconciliation discrepancies, prepare dividend and commission payments, and assist with ACH transmissions, wires, tax remittance, and gain/loss tracking. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of college completed (college undergraduate) or higher.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate issues, findings, and updates to colleagues and management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate account reconciliations and ensure suspense accounts remain in good standing.
• Research and resolve reconciliation exceptions and out-of-balance items within established timelines.
• Support day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, general ledger account analysis, settlements, and payment processing.
• Prepare and validate dividend and commission payments and support other account reconciliation activities such as ACH transmissions, outgoing wires, check processing, tax remittance funding, and gain/loss tracking.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify process improvements, resolve operational issues, and support fund-related activities such as launches, liquidations, seed capital repatriations, and mergers.
