Job summary

Payreto is seeking an IT Specialist to support and optimize a hybrid IT environment, spanning on‑premises, virtual, and cloud platforms. You will ensure availability, performance, and security while aligning with PCI DSS requirements and internal policies.

The role serves as a technical escalation point for the Helpdesk, handling hardware, software, and network issues, and coordinating with vendors to resolve incidents quickly within SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience as IT Specialist / IT Support.
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain multi-layer switches and routers.
• Knowledge of Windows Server/Server Support.
• Experience with remote support via tickets and calls.
• Familiarity with Ubiquiti, Fortinet, PFSense and related firewall tech.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge and routing skills.
• Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience with antimalware solutions (e.g., ESET).
• Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills.
• Inventory and vendor management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain on-premises, virtualized, and cloud infrastructure for availability and performance.
• Administer Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, network, storage, and endpoints.
• Manage hardware installation, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
• Handle escalated hardware issues involving endpoints, servers, networking, storage, and peripherals.
• Review system health, alerts, logs, and security events; escalate critical issues.
• Manage user accounts, security groups, permissions, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Maintain infrastructure security and PCI DSS compliance; create audit evidence and documentation.
• Manage IT assets, licenses, inventory, and vendor support.
• Suggest improvements to infrastructure security, reliability, and efficiency.
