SMARTWASH is seeking an HR Officer to support recruitment, payroll coordination, attendance monitoring, and day-to-day HR administration. You will help maintain employee records, handle inquiries, and assist with onboarding, training, and compliance with Philippine labor laws.

This role requires 1–2 years of HR experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with teams across departments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in HRM, Psychology, Business Administration or related field.
  • 1–2 years HR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, payroll coordination, employee relations and HR administration.
  • Familiarity with Philippine labor laws and HR practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documents.
  • Monitor attendance, leaves, and time tracking; support payroll coordination with Finance.
  • Address employee concerns and assist in disciplinary processes and grievances.

Job Summary

The HR Officer is responsible for supporting the company’s human resources operations, ensuring effective recruitment, employee relations, personnel administration, attendance monitoring, payroll coordination, employee development, and compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.

The HR Officer will help maintain a productive, professional, and positive workplace while ensuring that HR processes are properly documented and implemented.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment and Hiring

  • Prepare and post job vacancies through appropriate recruitment channels.

  • Screen applications and conduct initial interviews.

  • Coordinate interviews with department heads and management.

  • Facilitate pre-employment requirements and onboarding.

  • Maintain an updated database of applicants and potential candidates.

2. Employee Records and HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee 201 files and HR records.

  • Prepare employment contracts, memoranda, notices, and other HR documents.

  • Monitor employee documentation, including IDs, government requirements, and employment records.

  • Ensure proper filing and updating of personnel information.

3. Attendance, Leave, and Payroll Support

  • Monitor employee attendance, tardiness, absences, undertime, and overtime.

  • Review and consolidate daily time records.

  • Process and monitor employee leave applications.

  • Coordinate accurate payroll information with the Finance/Accounting Department.

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation and personal information.

4. Employee Relations

  • Address employee concerns and workplace issues professionally and promptly.

  • Assist management in handling disciplinary cases and employee grievances.

  • Conduct employee counseling when necessary.

  • Promote positive employee relations and a healthy workplace environment.

5. Performance Management

  • Assist in implementing employee performance evaluation programs.

  • Coordinate performance reviews with department supervisors.

  • Monitor probationary employee evaluations and employment status.

  • Assist in developing employee improvement plans when needed.

6. Training and Development

  • Identify training requirements in coordination with department heads.

  • Organize employee orientation, seminars, and training programs.

  • Maintain training attendance and employee development records.

  • Assist in implementing company policies and operational training programs.

7. Company Policies and Compliance

  • Help implement and communicate company policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Ensure HR practices are aligned with applicable Philippine labor laws and government requirements.

  • Assist in preparing documents related to labor compliance and government agencies.

  • Keep updated on relevant HR and labor regulations.

8. Employee Engagement and Company Culture

  • Organize employee activities, meetings, and engagement programs.

  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and company values.

  • Assist management in creating programs that improve employee morale and retention.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 1–2 years of relevant HR experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and HR administration.

  • Familiarity with Philippine labor laws and HR practices.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees at different levels.
