About the role
We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Director to join our leadership team in a full-time capacity based in Guadalupe, Cebu City. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management and development across the college.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive human resources strategies aligned with the college's strategic objectives and institutional priorities
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain high-calibre academic and administrative staff
- Manage employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures whilst fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Design and deliver professional development and training programmes for all staff levels to support career progression and institutional capability building
- Administer compensation and benefits packages, ensuring market competitiveness and compliance with relevant regulations
- Ensure full compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and institutional policies across all human resources functions
- Lead and mentor the human resources team, fostering professional development and operational excellence
- Maintain accurate personnel records and human resources information systems
- Develop and maintain human resources policies and procedures that reflect best practice in the healthcare and education sectors
- Collaborate with senior management and department heads to address workforce planning, organisational development, and change management initiatives
- Serve as an advisor to senior leadership on human resources matters affecting institutional operations and strategic initiatives
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Master’s degree in HR, Organizational Psychology, or MBA is a strong advantage).
- SHRM, CHRP, HRCI, or Registered Psychometrician (RPm) / Registered Psychologist (RPsy) credentials are preferred.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive professional HR experience, with at least 3 to 5 years in an HR Managerial, Assistant Director, or Senior Leadership role (prior HR Director experience or readiness to step up into executive leadership).
- Demonstrated expertise in recruitment and talent acquisition, including experience building recruitment strategies for specialised roles such as academic and healthcare professionals
- Strong knowledge of employment law, labour regulations, and compliance requirements in your jurisdiction
- Proven experience in designing and implementing human resources policies, procedures, and systems
- Excellent understanding of compensation and benefits administration, including payroll management and statutory compliance
- Experience working within educational institutions, healthcare settings, or similar complex organisations is highly valued
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all organisational levels
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to align human resources initiatives with broader institutional objectives
- Proficiency in human resources information systems and relevant software applications
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace
