Job summary

FURUKAWA ELECTRIC THERMAL MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS AND PRODUCTS LAGUNA, INC. in Laguna, Philippines seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead recruitment, training, and employee relations for its manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HRM, Psychology, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience with focus on recruitment, training, and employee relations.
  • 2–3 years supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, RBA, due process, and HR best practices.
  • End-to-end recruitment experience: manpower planning, sourcing, interviewing, offers and onboarding.
  • Experience in Training Needs Analysis and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Ability to handle employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment to fulfill manpower requirements.
  • Partner with department heads to identify manpower needs and monitor progress.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies across portals, social media, referrals, schools, fairs, and agencies.
  • Screen applicants, interview, select, issue offers, and onboard new hires.
  • Monitor metrics like time-to-fill, recruitment costs, and effectiveness; recommend improvements.
  • Build relationships with external recruitment partners, educational institutions, and agencies.
  • Conduct TNA aligned with business requirements and annual training plans.
  • Coordinate internal and external training, including leadership and compliance training.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate training records and track employee development.

Job description

Scope and Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Manpower Planning
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure the timely fulfillment of the company's overall manpower requirements.

  • Partner with department heads to identify manpower needs, develop hiring plans, and monitor recruitment progress.

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies through various recruitment channels, including job portals, social media, employee referrals, schools, job fairs, and recruitment agencies.

  • Conduct applicant screening, interviews, selection, job offers, pre-employment processing, and onboarding.

  • Monitor recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, hiring effectiveness, applicant sources, and recruitment costs, and recommend process improvements.

  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment partners, educational institutions, and government agencies.

Training and Development
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) in coordination with department managers and business requirements.

  • Develop and implement the annual training plan and learning and development programs.

  • Coordinate internal and external training activities, including leadership, technical, compliance, and mandatory training.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate training records and monitor employee development programs.

Employee Relations and Engagement
  • Manage employee relations concerns, grievances, counseling, disciplinary cases, and administrative investigations while ensuring due process.

  • Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on employee relations issues and labor law compliance.

  • Develop and implement employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and communication programs to strengthen employee morale and retention.

  • Conduct employee orientation, HR communications, and engagement activities that promote company values and a positive work culture.

  • Monitor employee feedback and recommend initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and organizational climate.

HR Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, the RBA Code of Conduct, company policies, and other applicable regulations.

  • Support internal and external HR audits and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Assist in the review, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Other Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports, recruitment, training, and employee relations metrics for KPI monthly report.

  • Perform other Human Resources-related duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, or a related field.

  • At least 5 to 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with significant exposure to Recruitment, Training and Development, and Employee Relations.

  • At least 2–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, RBA, due process, employee discipline, grievance handling, and HR best practices.

  • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, including manpower planning, sourcing, interviewing, candidate selection, job offers and onboarding.

  • Experience in conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA), developing and facilitating learning and development programs, and evaluating training effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations issues, conduct administrative investigations, facilitate disciplinary actions, resolve workplace conflicts, and ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); experience with HRIS is an advantage.

  • Able to work independently, maintain strict confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.on, expansion project, or managing the HR requirements of a new plant is an advantage.
