About the Client

Sabai Hospitality Group is the company behind Krapow! and NOK. We currently operate four restaurant locations and a central commissary, with plans to open four additional stores within the next 12 months. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced HR Manager to help build the people, systems, and culture that will support our expansion.

We are looking for an HR Manager

The HR Manager will be responsible for leading recruitment, training, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR systems across the organization. This individual will work closely with ownership and department heads to build a strong foundation capable of supporting future growth.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

• Lead recruitment efforts for restaurant, commissary, and support office positions.
• Build and maintain hiring pipelines for future expansion.
• Coordinate interviews, assessments, onboarding, and orientation programs.
• Develop relationships with schools, recruiters, job portals, and industry networks.
• Ensure all stores are adequately staffed to support operational requirements.

Training & Development

• Develop and implement onboarding and training programs.
• Build training systems for managers, supervisors, and frontline employees.
• Assist department heads in identifying and developing future leaders.
• Create training materials, employee handbooks, and operational guides.
• Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.

HR Systems & Processes

• Establish and improve HR policies, procedures, and systems.
• Create and maintain job descriptions, organizational charts, and reporting structures.
• Develop performance management systems, KPIs, and employee evaluation processes.
• Ensure proper documentation and employee record management.
• Build scalable HR systems capable of supporting continued expansion.

Employee Relations & Culture

• Promote a positive, high-performance workplace culture.
• Handle employee concerns, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
• Support managers in coaching, accountability, and performance improvement.
• Develop employee engagement and retention programs.
• Foster strong communication and alignment across the organization.

HR Reporting & Analytics

• Develop weekly and monthly HR reports.
• Track headcount, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment progress, training completion, and manpower costs.
• Provide recommendations and insights based on HR data and workforce trends.
• Support manpower planning and workforce forecasting.

Compliance & Administration

• Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and government regulations.
• Oversee SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain employment contracts, personnel records, and HR documentation.
• Coordinate with external consultants and government agencies when required.

Expansion & Organizational Development

• Support recruitment and staffing for new store openings.
• Assist management in workforce planning and organizational development.
• Help build the structure, systems, and people required to support 8+ stores.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen the overall organization as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 710 years of HR experience.
• Experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit operations preferred.
• Experience supporting organizations with 100+ employees is highly preferred.
• Strong background in recruitment, training, employee relations, and HR systems.
• Knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR compliance.
• Experience building HR processes and systems from the ground up.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
