Job description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The HR Generalist is responsible for the daily functions of the HR Department including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR policy implementation.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding
- 1. Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- 2. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- 3. Facilitate the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring a smooth transition out of the organization.
- 4. Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and other talent sources when deemed necessary.
Employee Relations
- 5. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing guidance and support as needed.
- 6. Conduct investigations into employee complaints or conflicts and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- 7. Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives.
Performance Management
- 8. Administer performance appraisal processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
- 9. Provide assistance in coaching and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
- 10. Assist in analyzing performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Training and Development
- 11. Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate training programs accordingly.
- 12. Assist in the development of training materials and resources.
- 13. Track training participation and evaluate training effectiveness.
HR Policy Implementation
- 14. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- 15. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- 16. Update and maintain employee handbook and other policy documents.
HR Administration
- 17. Maintain employee information records and ensure data accuracy.
- 18. Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review.
- 19. Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration as needed.
Employee Engagement and Culture
- 20. Support initiatives to promote employee morale and organizational culture.
- 21. Organize employee events, recognition programs, and team-building activities.
- 22. Foster a positive work environment conducive to employee growth and satisfaction.
Compliance and Risk Management
- 23. Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations.
- 24. Assist in audits and compliance reviews.
- 25. Mitigate HR-related risks through proactive measures and timely interventions.
- 26. Perform other HR and other related administrative duties as required or assigned.
