Job summary

PDAX is seeking an HR Business Partner to act as a strategic advisor to leaders, aligning people strategies with business goals and driving organizational effectiveness.

The role covers workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and employee relations in a fast-paced crypto/start-up environment. You will leverage analytics to diagnose challenges and champion employee engagement while balancing advocacy with business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years progressive HR experience including organizational design, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, budgeting, and people analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor law and compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading organizational change, restructuring, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Ability to balance employee advocacy with organizational needs in a fast-paced environment.

About The Role

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will serve as a critical strategic advisor and consultant to designated business unit leaders and managers in the delivery of integrated HR solutions / interventions to address people performance issues, driving organizational effectiveness and ensuring people strategies are tightly integrated with business objectives. The HRBP should possess not only HR expertise, but also a deep understanding of the business, its objectives, its operations, and its current challenges and opportunities. This role is essential for fostering a high-performance culture, leading organizational design, and managing the full talent lifecycle – from workforce planning and development to retention and succession. You will leverage data-driven insights to diagnose organizational challenges, influence strategic decision-making, and champion employee engagement and development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, proactive leader capable of balancing employee advocacy with organizational needs in a fast-paced, complex environment.

General Responsibilities
  • Strategic Business Acumen: Understand the business intimately – including objectives, targets, performance issues, business priorities, and long-term opportunities.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with senior leaders and business unit leaders to translate business strategies into actionable HR priorities and plans that support long-term growth and productivity.
  • Organizational Design & Change Management: Optimize organization design to increase productivity and improve performance. Provides guidance and input on department/team re-structuring, workforce planning, and succession planning. Lead change management efforts for significant organizational initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption.
  • Talent Management and Development: Drive the annual performance management cycle, identify critical talent gaps, and develop strategies for talent acquisition, leadership development, and succession planning within the supported business unit.
  • Performance Management: Provides day-to-day performance management guidancen to business unit leaders and employees (coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions).
  • Employee Relations (ER): Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Performance and Coaching: Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to business unit leaders on complex employee relations issues, performance improvement plans, conflict resolution, coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with legal and company guidelines.
  • Learning and Development: Identifies training needs for departments/teams and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training development programs to ensure success. Conducts follow-throughs to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Compensation and Total Rewards: Develops reward and recognition programs and implement interventions to increase engagement and results, collaborating with HR Leadership and HR-Operations to ensure equitable and competitive pay practices, including annual review processes, promotions, and organizational calibrations.
  • Legal and Internal Policy Guidance: Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. Provides comprehensive HR policy guidance, interpretation, and implementation across the business unit.
  • Workforce Planning and People Analytics: Through regular consultations and systematic analysis, pinpoint the root causes of business issues and deliver the appropriate, data-backed HR solutions to the business units. Leverages people analytics and HR data to produce substantiated analyses, make high-quality recommendations/decisions, and develop robust solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Employee Communication: Conducts weekly meetings with respective departments/teams to align with the HR agenda. Develops employee amendment advice for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Innovation and Growth: Identify opportunities for innovation, long-term growth, and competitive advantages for the business unit(s) through forward-thinking people strategies. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Additional Duties: Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources disciplines and facets especially in the areas of organizational design, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, budgeting, and people analytics, with at least two (2) years operating as a dedicated HR Business Partner supporting a client group of 150+ employees.
  • A working knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry, its business models, and competitive landscape.
  • Proven expertise in Philippine labor law, compliance requirements, and employee relations best practices. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Knowledge on international labor law is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing complex organizational change, restructuring, and workforce planning initiatives. Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's structure, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and data to generate insights and drive informed decision‑making.
  • Fast learner who has commercial judgment, a positive attitude, and a passion to improve and overachieve.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, customer service, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively partner with and coach all levels of managemen.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Encourages and guides teams in adopting AI tools to streamline operations and enhance performance.

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
  • Experience supporting specific functions relevantto our industry (eg. Tech/Engineering, Product, Finance, Strategy, Operations).
  • Familiarity with leading HRIS platforms and advanced proficiency in data visualization tools.
