Job summary

Optum in Cebu City is seeking a Patient Scheduling Advocate to assist patients with scheduling and managing appointments for physicians and medical imaging services within a healthcare BPO environment. This role serves as a primary contact for patient inquiries and concerns, ensuring accurate appointment coordination and excellent patient experience.

Qualifications

• College graduate or undergraduate of any medical allied course is required.
• Preferred allied fields include MedTech, RadTech, Physical & Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Nutrition & Dietetics, Optometry, Nursing & Midwifery, Caregiving, Emergency & Clinic Support, Wellness, BS Psychology or BS Biology.
• At least 6 months of BPO voice experience and strong English communication are required.
• Willing to work night shifts and onsite in Cebu.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for physicians and imaging procedures.
• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls with empathy and professionalism.
• Assist patients with inquiries, prep instructions, and follow-ups.
• Send messages to healthcare providers on behalf of patients.
• Verify patient demographics and document interactions clearly in systems.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to company policies.
• Meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics.
