Shopee is seeking an experienced HSSE lead to oversee health, safety, security, and environmental compliance within our Manila warehouse operations.
The role focuses on hazard identification, incident investigations, training, and ensuring adherence to DOLE OSH standards, DENR EMB standards, and ISO guidelines. Rotating shifts and peak-season staffing are expected.
Conduct daily warehouse walkthroughs and inspections to identify unsafe conditions, practices, or hazards.
Ensure all staff follow safe material handling procedures (e.g., use of forklifts, MHE, conveyors).
Implement job hazard analysis (JHA), safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.
Supervise the use and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment.
Oversee compliance with safety signage, traffic flow, and pedestrian lxanes inside the warehouse.
Work with Security personnel to monitor access controls, CCTV, and alarm systems.
Prevent unauthorized access, theft, and pilferage of inventory.
Enforce protocols for delivery drivers, third-party logistics staff, and contractors.
Conduct incident investigations for loss, theft, or breach of security.
Monitor waste management (e.g., packaging waste, hazardous materials).
Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals (e.g., cleaning agents, batteries).
Track environmental metrics such as energy use and emissions (if applicable).
Conduct HSSE orientation and toolbox talks for new and existing employees.
Coordinate safety drills (fire, earthquake, emergency evacuation) in line with BFP and LGU guidelines.
Keep training records up to date and ensure compliance certifications are valid.
Ensure the warehouse complies with DOLE, DENR, and local safety/environmental regulations.
Maintain HSSE-related permits, incident logs, safety checklists, and audit records.
Prepare regular reports and metrics on safety performance, incidents, and corrective actions.
Lead investigations into accidents, near misses, or unsafe practices.
Recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Act as first responder or coordinator during warehouse emergencies.
