Job summary

Pilmico Foods Corporation is seeking an experienced HSE professional to drive and sustain occupational health and safety initiatives across our operations in Cavite. The role involves implementing programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance to maintain a safe workplace.

You will lead safety inspections, investigate incidents, and deliver training while collaborating with various departments to foster a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety programs.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety-related complaints; recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and conduct safety training and awareness programs for employees and visitors.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies on safety permits and compliance.
• Monitor and close safety findings and corrective actions timely.
• Support 5S, ISO, GMP, and other management systems improvement.
• Analyze safety data and prepare reports for management.
• Promote a strong safety culture across departments.
• Support food safety, quality, and Halal requirements in the area.

Job description

• Support the development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety programs, policies, and initiatives.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments to ensure a safe workplace.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety-related complaints, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and conduct safety training, orientations, and awareness programs for employees, visitors, and other stakeholders.
• Implement fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and safety equipment programs.
• Monitor compliance with company safety standards and applicable government regulations and requirements.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies such as DOLE, BFP, PPA, DENR, and LGUs on safety, permits, licenses, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and ensure timely closure of safety findings and corrective actions.
• Support the implementation and continual improvement of 5S, ISO, GMP, and other management systems .
• Analyze safety data and prepare reports, recommendations, and safety performance updates for management.
• Work closely with different departments to promote a strong safety culture and ensure consistent implementation of safety practices.
• Support food safety, quality, and Halal requirements within the assigned area.
• Perform other SHE-related duties and projects as assigned.

Education

Education: Graduate of any Engineering course or BS/Diploma in Engineering Technology.

Experience

Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/SHE) functions.

License

License: Valid Driver's License ; Professional License is an advantage.

Certification

Certification: Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Practitioner certification is preferred.

Skills: Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard identification and risk assessment, safety inspections, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
