Param is Bengaluru’s large-scale, multi-facility experience centre, bringing together science, innovation, history and culture into a single, immersive destination. Param Foundation operates multiple offices, makerspace and centres that support programs, research and public engagement.
Role Overview
The Head of Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership for all operational functions across Param Foundation, excluding the main centre during its development phase. The role is responsible for designing scalable systems, driving operational excellence and ensuring seamless coordination across multiple centres and offices.

The Head of Operations will work closely with leadership, program teams, finance, marketing and external partners to ensure that operational systems support organisational growth while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, efficiency and visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead and oversee the Facility, Logistics, IT, Procurement, Spatial and Ticketing functions across all centres and offices.
- Develop and implement scalable operational strategies, systems, policies and SOPs to support organisational growth.
- Drive operational excellence by ensuring efficient, safe, compliant and visitor-ready facilities across all locations.
- Lead infrastructure development, maintenance and operational readiness for new and existing centres.
- Build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Oversee budgets, vendor partnerships, contracts and resource planning to deliver cost-effective operations.
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs and reporting, while collaborating with leadership to achieve organisational goals.
Operational Excellence
Provide overall leadership and governance for:
Facility Management
- Ensure all offices and centres remain safe, functional and visitor-ready.
- Standardise preventive maintenance, housekeeping, security, utilities and compliance practices.
- Monitor infrastructure health and facility performance across locations.
Logistics
- Develop systems for movement of exhibits, materials, event equipment and operational assets.
- Establish efficient transportation, warehousing and inventory movement processes.
- Support event logistics and centre operations through effective planning.
Information Technology
- Oversee organisation-wide IT infrastructure, networking, CCTV, hardware and user support.
- Ensure high availability of systems supporting operations, ticketing and internal teams.
- Guide technology planning for new centres and future expansion.
Procurement
- Develop procurement policies and governance frameworks.
- Ensure transparent vendor management and purchasing practices.
- Drive cost optimisation while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Monitor procurement planning for projects and operational requirements.
Spatial Development
- Lead planning and execution of office setups, renovations, fit-outs and centre development projects.
- Coordinate civil works, interiors, infrastructure upgrades and vendor execution.
- Ensure projects are delivered within timelines, budgets and quality standards.
Ticketing Operations
- Oversee ticketing operations across all centres.
- Ensure seamless functioning of ticketing platforms, POS systems and visitor admission processes.
- Develop reporting frameworks to monitor ticket sales, visitor trends and operational performance.
- Work closely with IT and Finance to ensure secure and accurate ticketing operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
- 8-12 years of experience in operations leadership.
- Experience managing multiple operational functions under a single portfolio.
- Strong understanding of facilities, procurement, logistics, IT infrastructure and project execution.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams and multiple locations.
- Excellent financial planning and vendor management capabilities.Strong analytical, organisational and decision-making skills.
