Job summary

Maybank is seeking a Relationship Manager to develop and manage profitable SME relationships, prospect new-to-bank opportunities, and expand existing borrower relationships. The role emphasizes credit assessment, structuring facilities, cross-selling products, and ensuring high-quality account servicing.

You will balance business growth with sound risk and portfolio management, monitor maturities and renewals, and ensure compliance with bank and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Commerce, Banking & Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in marketing and relationship management in corporate banking is preferred.
• Banking experience with lending, account management, and credit evaluation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and manage SME relationships to achieve targets.
• Cross-sell applicable bank products to SME clients.
• Assess creditworthiness and prepare credit proposals in line with guidelines.
• Coordinate account implementation and servicing with relevant units.
• Monitor portfolio quality and renewals to preserve asset quality.
