Job summary

PLEXUS SYSTEMS INC. is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support government projects and bids within a Systems Integrator context. The role focuses on aligning technical solutions with client requirements, reviewing TORs and SOWs, and ensuring bid compliance.

You will collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Procurement, Distributors, and technology principals to deliver compliant solutions and smooth handoffs to implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience as a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar role in an S.I. company.
• Experience handling government projects, bidding, and procurement is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of IT/technology solutions and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review TOR, technical specs, scope of work, SOW, and bidding documents.
• Evaluate and validate technical compliance against government bidding requirements.
• Identify gaps, risks, and compliance before bid submission.
• Develop technical solutions based on project scope and specs.
• Prepare technical compliance, solution designs, BOMs, and proposals.
• Coordinate with Sales, PM, Procurement, Distributors, and principals.
• Participate in pre-bid conferences and client discussions as required.
• Provide technical responses and clarifications on government bidding requirements.
• Review project requirements for feasibility and resources.
• Support transition from pre-sales to project implementation with clear deliverables.
