Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Taguig, Philippines, seeks a Payroll Senior Analyst to deliver accurate, compliant payroll for designated regions and drive process improvements. You will mentor analysts, support audits, and collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and external providers on complex payroll tasks.

The role requires 3–5 years in HR or finance/payroll, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of payroll systems (SAP/Workday).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, finance, accounting, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in HR or finance/payroll operations, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.
• 1–2 years of leadership, mentoring, or coaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing concepts and statutory payroll requirements.
• Proficiency with payroll and HR systems such as SAP and/or Workday; ADP and other payroll systems advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic macros) and common Office tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with case management or ticketing tools.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Confidentiality and adherence to data privacy and internal controls.
• Customer-focused with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative team player with cross-cultural adaptability.
• Preferred: Experience with EMEA and/or ASPAC payroll, timekeeping systems, payroll certifications, and external payroll providers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver payroll operations and administration for designated countries/regions in line with global standards and local requirements.
• Prepare, reconcile, and review payroll reports; validate statutory payments and third-party disbursements.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll issues; handle employee inquiries and escalate as needed.
• Monitor payroll mailboxes and service management tickets; collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization of payroll processes.
• Lead and mentor Analysts; assist in planning, resourcing, and project execution; support onboarding.
