Job summary

Arup’s Global Finance Shared Service team seeks a Senior Payroll Advisor based in Manila to ensure accurate and timely payroll, while supporting statutory compliance. You will gain exposure to international assignee payrolls and contribute as a payroll SME in broader Arup projects.

Working with the Payroll Deputy Team Leader and external vendors, you will collate monthly pay changes, respond to queries, and drive process improvements to enhance the member experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive payroll processing experience.
• Ability to prioritise and work independently in a Shared Service Centre.
• Experience contributing as a payroll subject matter expert to Finance projects.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a multinational or shared service environment is beneficial.
• Understanding of payroll legislation, processes and controls.
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives.
• Experience maintaining payroll compliance and supporting audits.

Responsibilities

• Collating and validating monthly pay changes for submission to the global payroll vendor.
• Ensuring members are paid accurately and on established pay dates.
• Responding to payroll queries and resolving complex issues.
• Reviewing changes in legislation and supporting compliance.
• Processing statutory payments and non-statutory payments where applicable.
• Supporting International Assignee payroll obligations.
• Reconciling payroll journals and loan accounts.
• Acting as payroll approver within vendor processes.
• Delivering payroll training and sharing knowledge across teams.
• Supporting internal and external audits and updating procedures.
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and member experience.
