Job summary
HTK is seeking an IT Support Specialist to cover IT operations across the Americas while preparing, inventorying, and deploying end-user devices in Europe. The role includes system administration, second-line support, and maintaining a knowledge base for hardware and software issues.
The candidate will enhance IT security, perform proactive monitoring, and provide solutions for high-level requirements. The position requires night shifts to align with US timezone and will involve on-site work at
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal English communication.
- Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, SD-WAN.
- Experience with Linux/Unix (CentOS/RedHat) & Windows Server 2016+.
- Good knowledge of Apple computers.
- Ability to propose high-level technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Report to Regional IT Manager; cover Americas regions for IT support.
- Prepare, inventory and deploy laptops/workstations across Europe.
- Provide system administration and second-line user support.
- Manage end-user IT assets in Europe; maintain documentation and knowledge base.
- Improve security on IT network; perform proactive service checks.
- Act as onsite engineer for the Herndon Office in the USA.
