Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting for a General Manager to drive overall business performance, including operational, commercial, financial, and organizational oversight. The role links the SVP/Board to management, providing strategic direction and execution across all functions while steering profitability and growth.

Based onsite in Albuera, Leyte, the GM will travel regularly to Manila and key customer/supplier locations, leading multi-functional teams and ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in manufacturing, agro-industrial, or export-oriented operations.
• At least 5 years in a general management role with P&L responsibility.
• Experience in export/customer relations and ERP reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the company P&L; set annual production, revenue, and cost targets aligned with the SVP/Board.
• Monitor key financial metrics: gross margin per ton, cash flow, and working capital with regular reporting to the SVP/Board.
• Lead Sales strategy for specialty abaca pulp; oversee pricing, terms, and customer allocation.
• Coordinate between Sales and Operations to align production scheduling, grade mix, and delivery commitments.
• Oversee fiber procurement planning, supplier relationships, and cost management.
• Build and retain a senior management team across operations, finance, and admin.
