Job summary

The Citco Group Limited is seeking a senior accounting professional to provide technical accounting expertise for real estate and private equity funds. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, review fund documents, and lead system implementations while coaching staff and delivering ad hoc reports.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in accounting (public/private), strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, and hands-on experience with real estate accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, Investran).

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in accounting/finance/economics.
• 5+ years public/private accounting experience.
• 5+ years real estate and/or private equity experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with fair value reporting for real estate investments and debt obligations.
• Knowledge of Private Equity and Real Estate Funds.
• Experience reviewing real estate operations and preparing full financial statements, including notes.
• Knowledge of multi-family and commercial real estate accounting.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking.
• Experience with real estate/private equity accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, Investran, etc.).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients and internally.
• Coordinate with Operations, Financial Statement, Tax and Investor Relations groups.
• Coordinate, manage and monitor external audit process.
• Review fund partnership agreements, PPMs and other materials.
• Lead the implementation of fund structures on accounting system.
• Coach, develop and train staff.
• Complete ad hoc reports as needed.
• Review trading and operations processes for the real estate division.
