Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Fund Controller Expense Oversight Associate to strengthen governance and oversight of pooled investment vehicles. You will coordinate across functions and external service providers to ensure accurate reporting, timely issue resolution, and high-quality control evidence production.

You will oversee fund administration activities, validate expenses, and lead vendor governance efforts to support operational excellence across multiple fund types and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fund services, including income and expense reporting, fund accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with registered investment products and pooled vehicles (mutual funds, ETFs, etc.).
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, Regulation S-X, Investment Company Act, and liquidity requirements.
• Understanding of net asset value, custody, transaction costs, valuation, and fund taxation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fund oversight activities performed by external service providers and ensure service standards are met.
• Review and validate fund expense accruals, disclosures, and governance reporting for accuracy and completeness.
• Validate fees, invoices, approvals, and allocation support per agreements and controls.
• Review budgets, reimbursements, year-end balances, and trustee-related expense support; escalate exceptions.
• Lead vendor due diligence, maintain SLAs, and produce governance materials.
• Drive governance meetings, manage change requests, and coordinate remediation for NAV issues.
• Monitor lending oversight indicators and escalate per process.
• Coordinate SOC 1 reviews, contract administration, and onboarding for new funds.
• Manage production cycles for shareholder/regulatory documents with crosswalks.
• Partner with risk, legal, compliance, product, and client service to identify control gaps.
