Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Fund Controller Expense Oversight Associate to manage fund administration activities delivered by external providers. The role focuses on governance, accurate reporting, and timely issue escalation across pooled investment vehicles.

You will partner with risk, legal, compliance, product, and client service teams to identify control gaps and strengthen oversight reporting. This position offers growth within a global financial institution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fund services, including income/expense reporting and regulatory reporting.
• Knowledge of registered investment products and pooled vehicles.
• Understanding of GAAP/IFRS, Regulation S-X and ICAA or comparable liquidity requirements.
• Understanding of net asset value, custody, costs, and fund taxation concepts.
• Experience with financial products and capital markets concepts relevant to fund ops.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to produce clear oversight and governance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fund oversight activities performed by external service providers and confirm service standards are met.
• Review and validate fund expense accruals, disclosures, and governance reporting for accuracy.
• Validate fees, invoices, approvals, and allocations against agreements and controls.
• Review budgets, year-end balances, and trustee-related expense support; escalate exceptions.
• Lead vendor due diligence, maintain SL documentation, and produce scorecards/governance materials.
• Drive vendor governance meetings, manage change requests, and coordinate remediation for NAV/service issues.
• Monitor securities lending indicators and escalate per process.
• Coordinate SOC 1 reviews, contract administration, and onboarding for new funds.
• Manage production cycles for shareholder/regulatory docs and crosswalk validation.
• Partner with risk/legal/compliance/product/service teams to close control gaps.
