About the role

We are seeking a Food Server/Waitress to join the team at Kon-Tiki Hospitality Corp. This is a full-time position based in San Narciso, Zambales. As a Food Server/Waitress, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional hospitality and service to our guests. This role is essential to creating memorable dining experiences and ensuring customer satisfaction, directly contributing to the success and reputation of our business.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
• Taking accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relaying them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
• Delivering food and drinks promptly to tables whilst ensuring all orders are correct and presented professionally
• Providing knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, specials and beverages based on guest preferences
• Maintaining awareness of all guests at assigned tables and attending to their needs throughout their dining experience
• Processing payments accurately using the point-of-sale system and handling cash and card transactions securely
• Clearing and resetting tables promptly between guests to maintain restaurant cleanliness and standards
• Communicating effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any issues
• Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Resolving guest complaints professionally and escalating serious concerns to management when necessary

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Food Server, Waitress or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities to manage multiple tables efficiently
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 15 kg
• Proficiency in taking accurate orders and using point-of-sale systems
• Knowledge of food and beverage offerings and basic menu familiarity
• A professional appearance and friendly, courteous demeanour
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one is advantageous
