Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Attendant to join our team. The Food Attendant will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment. This position involves assisting customers with their food and beverage needs, taking orders, serving food, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing a positive dining experience.
- Taking Orders: Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them to kitchen staff or chefs.
- Serving Food: Deliver food and beverages to customers promptly and correctly.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure dining areas, tables, and seating areas are clean, tidy, and well-organized.
- Setting Up: Prepare tables and dining areas by setting up napkins, utensils, glasses, and condiments.
- Handling Payments: Assist with processing customer payments, including cash and card transactions.
- Food Safety: Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
- Assisting Kitchen Staff: Help with food preparation and ensure kitchen staff has what they need for service.
- Problem-Solving: Address any customer complaints or concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to management.
- Stocking: Refill or restock condiments, beverages, and other supplies as needed during service.
- Adhering to Procedures: Follow company policies and safety procedures, including handling and serving food and beverages.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry is a plus but not required.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Customer-Oriented: Strong focus on customer service with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, carry trays, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Must be able to ensure orders are accurate and delivered correctly.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other food attendants, kitchen staff, and management.
- Time Management: Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards (training may be provided).
- Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, if required.
