Job summary

FHI 360, Philippines-based project under EpiC, seeks a Finance Officer to process and record financial transactions, support audits, and maintain donor-compliant finance records. The role reports to the Senior Finance & Admin Officer and ensures adherence to FHI 360 policies.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of financial management and grants experience, with strong analytical and communication skills, and knowledge of Philippine taxation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Five to seven years of relevant financial management and reporting experience.
• Experience in grants management and donor reporting.
• Clear, professional communication with clients and staff.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and local regulations.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proactive in identifying cost savings and efficiency opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-audits of vouchers, invoices, and travel expense reports.
• Perform reconciliations for bank and balance sheet accounts, vendors, and inventories.
• Assist with bank communications and statements for project accounts.
• Support audits and prepare schedules in the agreed format.
• Review petty cash reconciliations and ensure compliance with donor rules.
• Process payments to vendors, consultants, and staff reimbursements.
• Review transactions for correct coding before posting.
• Ensure statutory payments are processed on time under Philippine law.
