Job summary

FHI 360, a nonprofit organization, seeks a Finance Officer in Manila to provide finance support for the EpiC Philippines project. You will process financial transactions, review travel and admin documents, maintain finance files, and support monitoring and reporting to ensure compliance with donor rules and FHI 360 policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in financial management and reporting.
• 2+ years of experience in grants management.
• Articulate, professional and able to communicate clearly with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-audits of vouchers, invoices and travel expense reports; verify proper account codes.
• Perform and review reconciliations for bank and balance sheet accounts, vendors and inventory.
• Assist with bank communications regarding project accounts, balances, statements and related matters.
• Support the Senior Finance & Admin Officer during audits and prepare schedules in the required format.
• Review petty cash reconciliations and ensure compliance with cost principles.
• Process payment requests for vendors, consultants, staff reimbursements, journals and liquidations.
• Verify that costs are charged to correct codes before releasing to the accounting system.
• Review vendor selection analyses for procurement compliance.
• Ensure statutory payments are processed and paid on time per Philippine law and policies.
• Assist with pre-award reviews and site visits for recipients or partners as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
