Job summary

Astrophysics Asia Inc. seeks a Service Engineer to perform on-site installation, preventive and corrective maintenance for supported equipment at various customer sites in the Philippines. This role requires extensive travelling and a valid passport.

Responsibilities include installations, testing, maintenance, documentation, and customer education to identify needs and resolve issues. Strong adherence to Quality Management System documents is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow Quality Management System documents and achieve Quality Policy and Objectives.
• Provide phone and on-site support, responding promptly to service calls.
• Conduct installations, preventive and corrective maintenance on XIS machines.
• Inspect components and verify proper assembly, installation and defect-free operation.
• Complete Installation Reports including Radiation Survey and Performance Checks.
• Educate users and troubleshoot to identify needs and problems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance to prevent issues and prolong equipment life.
• Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions with test equipment/software.
• Maintain thorough communication with the Customer Service Call Center while traveling.

About the role

The Service Engineer performs on-site installation, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for supported equipment at various customer sites. This position requires extensive travelling and a valid passport.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all applicable Quality Management System documents and ensure Quality Policy is followed and Quality Objectives are met




• Provide phone support as needed, responding to all calls in a timely manner and following up with customers within three business days of service calls




• Conduct installations, corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance, including reviewing machine and customer folders, preparing tools and documents, and making travel and accommodation arrangements




• Install and test XIS machines in various settings such as industrial or military establishments to ensure proper function




• Inspect components of equipment for accurate assembly, installation and defects




• Complete Installation Reports including Radiation Survey, Science Claims and Performance Check




• Provide customer support and education, working with users to identify needs and determine sources of problems




• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking, cleaning and repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems




• Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and software




• Maintain daily communication with Customer Service Call Center while travelling, system logs, manuals and equipment logs to document testing and operations

About you

• Valid passport required




• Ability to complete paperwork such as service reports, radiation surveys, parts requisitions and expense reports on time, error free and in a timely manner




• Knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems




• Ability to comply with customer courtesy code including dress code, respect and patience when at customer sites
