Job summary

Advanced Global Alliance Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Service Engineer to deliver high-quality technical support, installation, commissioning, and maintenance services for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing equipment.

The role involves preventive maintenance, on-site and remote customer support, and collaboration with engineering teams and suppliers. Travel locally and overseas is required to install, commission and service equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Knowledge of semiconductor backend assembly or SMT processes is advantageous
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, sensors, motors and servo systems is advantageous
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of semiconductor and electronics manufacturing equipment in accordance with established procedures
• Execute machine installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, and customer training
• Conduct systematic troubleshooting, fault finding, and root-cause analysis across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, temperature-control, motion-control, and automation systems
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all service activities, including service reports and maintenance records
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and equipment suppliers, including overseas suppliers where required, to resolve technical issues and optimize equipment performance
• Provide professional technical support and build strong, ongoing relationships with customers, both on-site and remotely
• Support commercial activities through coordination and follow-up on customer requirements and technical engagements
• Collect and communicate customer feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Work with semiconductor backend and electronics manufacturing equipment, including precision pick-and-place/automation systems, die bonding systems, vacuum soldering and sintering ovens, and related assembly and process equipment
• Travel locally and overseas as required for equipment installation, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and customer support
• Communicate effectively and engage professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Work independently and proactively to manage assigned tasks and priorities
• Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to service quality in all customer interactions

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous operation of our semiconductor and electronics manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to systematically diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Knowledge of, or hands-on experience with, semiconductor backend assembly (including die bonding) or SMT processes (e.g. pick-and-place and reflow soldering) will be an advantage.

Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, temperature-control, and automation/control systems (e.g. PLC, HMI, sensors, motors, and servo systems) is an advantage.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Able to work independently, take responsibility for assigned tasks, and approach technical problems systematically.

Customer-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to service quality.

Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.
