Hotel Ava group of companies in Manila is seeking a Facilities Assistant / Maintenance to keep the office clean, safe, and functional.
You will perform routine inspections, minor repairs, and support preventive maintenance, coordinating with vendors as needed.
The role requires basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and the ability to lift and move office items.
The Facilities Assistant / Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, functionality, and overall condition of the office premises. The position performs routine inspections, minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and assists with general office and facilities-related requirements.
Conduct regular inspection of office facilities, equipment, fixtures, and common areas.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other general facility concerns.
Monitor the condition of air-conditioning units, lighting, water supply, electrical outlets, doors, locks, furniture, and other office fixtures.
Report major repairs or technical issues that require assistance from external contractors or service providers.
Assist in coordinating and monitoring scheduled preventive maintenance and repair activities.
Ensure that maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
Assist with the setup and arrangement of tables, chairs, equipment, and other materials for meetings, trainings, and office activities.
Support the transfer, delivery, or movement of office furniture, supplies, equipment, and other items when needed.
Help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, storage rooms, utility areas, and other assigned facilities.
Immediately report safety hazards, damaged equipment, leaks, electrical issues, or other conditions that may affect employees and office operations.
At least High School Graduate, Senior High School Graduate, or Vocational/Technical Course graduate.
Preferably with experience in general maintenance, building maintenance, or facilities support.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair work is an advantage.
Able to use basic maintenance tools and equipment safely.
Physically capable of performing maintenance work, including lifting and moving office items when necessary.
Responsible, dependable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Willing to respond to urgent maintenance concerns when required.
