Job summary

Entel HK Philippines is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to maintain and troubleshoot MVAC and building utility systems in a manufacturing environment.

You will monitor AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, and water systems, perform preventive maintenance, and document readings while adhering to safety procedures and SOPs. Heavy on hands-on work with occasional contractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year technical/vocational course or Bachelor's degree related to Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Technology, or Refrigeration and A/C.
• Preferably 3-5 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of MVAC, electrical distribution systems, pumps and motors, plumbing, and building utilities.
• Familiar with safety: LOTO, 5S, and safe work practices.
• Able to document readings and maintain maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing of facility equipment and utilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, MVAC, plumbing, and related equipment.
• Monitor AHUs, FCUs, pumps, compressors, and water systems for proper operation.
• Record operating parameters and identify abnormalities for corrective action.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies; assist contractors as needed.
• Maintain SOPs, work orders, and safety checklists; ensure 5S and housekeeping.

Job description

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of a 2-year technical/vocational course or Bachelor's degree related to Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Technology, or Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning.

• Preferably 3-5 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Practical knowledge and experience in the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of:

• MVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, split-type and packaged air-conditioning units

• Electrical distribution systems and basic electrical troubleshooting

• Pumps, motors, and mechanical equipment

• Plumbing and water systems

• Compressed air systems

• Fire protection and other building utility systems

• Able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance based on maintenance schedules, checklists, and equipment manuals.

• Able to diagnose facility equipment abnormalities and perform basic troubleshooting and repair.

• Familiar with electrical and mechanical drawings, single-line diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.

• Knowledge of occupational safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), 5S, and safe work practices.

• Basic knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or maintenance work-order systems is an advantage.

• Able to properly document equipment readings, maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs.

• Willing and able to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs, when required by manufacturing operations.

• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

• Physically capable of performing facilities maintenance activities, including work that may require climbing ladders, working in utility areas, and handling maintenance tools and equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspection, and servicing of facility equipment and utility systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.

• Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, MVAC, plumbing, and other facility-related equipment.

• Monitor the operation and condition of AHUs, FCUs, air-conditioning units, exhaust and ventilation systems, pumps, motors, compressed air systems, water systems, and other utilities.

• Conduct routine equipment inspections and record operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, voltage, current, and other applicable readings.

• Identify equipment abnormalities and take appropriate corrective action to prevent breakdowns and minimize production downtime.

• Respond promptly to facility equipment breakdowns, alarms, utility interruptions, and emergency maintenance requests.

• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting of electrical panels, circuit breakers, contactors, relays, motors, lighting, and control circuits, within authorized competency levels.

• Perform basic mechanical repairs, including replacement or adjustment of belts, bearings, filters, valves, fittings, and other components.

• Support the continuous and reliable supply of critical utilities required for manufacturing operations.

• Carry out maintenance activities according to established SOPs, preventive maintenance schedules, checklists, and equipment manuals.

• Follow applicable safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit-to-Work, proper PPE usage, and safe work practices.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, inspection checklists, work orders, and breakdown reports.

• Report significant equipment abnormalities, failures, and safety concerns to the Facilities Supervisor/Manager immediately.

• Assist in conducting root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and implement assigned corrective and preventive actions.

• Support energy conservation and cost-reduction initiatives by identifying energy wastage, leaks, unnecessary equipment operation, and other improvement opportunities.

• Assist external contractors and service providers during preventive maintenance, repairs, testing, and facility improvement projects.

• Verify completed contractor work and immediately report any deficiencies or safety concerns to the Facilities Supervisor/Manager.

• Maintain proper 5S and housekeeping standards in mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, utility areas, workshops, and other assigned facility areas.

• Ensure that tools, test instruments, spare parts, and maintenance materials are properly used, stored, and maintained.

• Assist in maintaining the required inventory of critical spare parts and maintenance consumables and report items requiring replenishment.

• Participate in facility improvement, equipment upgrade, installation, modification, and continuous improvement projects.

• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, EHS, Security, IT, and other departments when maintenance activities may affect manufacturing operations.

• Participate in emergency response activities related to facility equipment and utilities, as required.

• Support facility inspections, internal audits, and regulatory compliance activities as assigned.

• Perform other facilities maintenance duties and related tasks assigned by the Facilities Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
