Job summary

Glades International Corporation is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of building systems. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and utilities, while coordinating with contractors for specialized work.

The role requires a diploma or certificate in a relevant field and 1–3 years of facilities maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing or Building Maintenance.
• 1–3 years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
• Basic computer skills; CMMS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections of building facilities and utility systems.
• Inspect and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility-related equipment and systems.
• Perform routine maintenance of air-conditioning units, ventilation systems, pumps, motors, compressors, generators, and other utility equipment.
• Conduct basic electrical maintenance, including lighting, switches, outlets, breakers, and distribution systems.
• Perform plumbing repairs involving water supply, drainage, valves, faucets, and piping.
• Monitor and maintain facility utilities such as water, electricity, compressed air, and other services.
• Conduct regular inspections of roofs, ceilings, floors, doors, walls, drainage, and other building structures.
• Respond promptly to facility breakdowns, leaks, electrical issues, HVAC problems, and other maintenance emergencies.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repair work.

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of buildings, facilities, utilities, and support systems. The role ensures that facility equipment and infrastructure remain safe, functional, reliable, and compliant with company standards and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections of building facilities and utility systems.

About you

• Technical/vocational diploma or certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning, Plumbing, Building Maintenance, or a related field.

• At least 1–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or industrial maintenance.

• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.

• Ability to read basic electrical diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques.

• Basic computer skills; experience with CMMS is an advantage.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good electrical and mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to work independently and respond to emergency situations.

• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
