Job summary

Sobha Glazing and Metal Works in Bangalore is seeking a Facade Execution Engineer to coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure façade works are completed safely, on schedule, and per approved drawings and specs.

The role requires reviewing drawings, supervising on-site installation, ensuring quality and safety, and coordinating with design, structural, MEP, and QA/QC to resolve interfaces and track progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil/Mech.
• Typically 3–8 years of experience in façade construction/execution.
• Ability to read GA drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and structural details.
• Knowledge of façade materials, fixing systems, sealants, anchors, and waterproofing interfaces.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of MS Office and project scheduling software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day execution of façade works at the project site.
• Review and interpret shop drawings, construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate with structural, architectural, MEP, waterproofing, and finishing teams to resolve site interfaces.
• Monitor subcontractors and façade installation teams for productivity and workmanship.
• Identify site issues, technical discrepancies, and clashes and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor façade waterproofing, sealant application, flashing, drainage, thermal/acoustic interfaces, and weather-tightness details.
• Track daily progress and prepare site reports, productivity reports, and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to close NCRs, observations, and punch-list items.

Facade Execution Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day execution of façade works at the project site.
• Review and interpret shop drawings, construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.

• Check setting out, alignment, levels, dimensions, brackets, anchors, embeds, and tolerances before and during installation.

• Monitor subcontractors and façade installation teams for productivity and workmanship.
• Identify site issues, technical discrepancies, and clashes and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor façade waterproofing, sealant application, flashing, drainage, thermal/acoustic interfaces, and weather-tightness details.
• Ensure materials received at site are inspected and stored properly.
• Track daily progress and prepare site reports, productivity reports, and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to close NCRs, observations, and punch-list items.
• Ensure compliance with approved method statements, safety procedures, and project HSE requirements.
• Support testing and commissioning activities such as water penetration, air leakage, sealant testing, and façade performance tests where applicable.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for RFI/TQ resolution.
• Assist the Project Manager/Construction Manager in planning façade activities and achieving project milestones.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil/ Mech.
• Typically 3–8 years of experience in façade construction/execution.
• Strong practical knowledge of façade installation and site coordination.
• Ability to read and understand GA drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and structural details.
• Knowledge of façade materials, fixing systems, sealants, anchors, brackets, and waterproofing interfaces.
• Good understanding of QA/QC procedures and construction safety requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of MS Office and project scheduling software is an advantage.
