Job summary

Sobha Glazing and Metal Works in Bangalore seeks a seasoned Tendering & Estimation Engineer to manage the end-to-end bid process for façade projects, review client enquiries, analyse tender docs, and prepare pre-bid documentation.

You will coordinate with design, planning, and purchase teams to develop feasible solutions, prepare quotations, negotiate with vendors, and ensure compliance with technical standards. BE/ME in Mechanical or Civil and 5–10 years' façade glazing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/ME in Mechanical or Civil engineering with 5-10 years' experience in Façade Glazing Industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire tendering and estimation process for façade projects.
• Receive and review client enquiries, analyse tender documents, and identify key requirements.
• Prepare pre-bid documentation and participate in pre-bid meetings to clarify scope.

Managing the entire tendering and estimation process for façade projects. Receive and review project enquiries from clients, analyse tender documents, and identify key requirements. Prepare and submit pre-bid documentation and actively participate in pre-bid meetings to clarify project scope and specifications. Coordinate with the design team to understand project complexity, develop feasible solutions, and explore value engineering options to optimize cost and performance. Prepare detailed project quotations, negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, and ensure compliance with technical standards. Submit commercial and technical proposals to the client and attend initial negotiation meetings to address clarifications and discussions. Revise and finalize offers as per feedback and inputs from top management.

Upon project award, prepare a detailed handover report and coordinate with project, design, and planning teams to ensure smooth transition. Develop project budgets and obtain necessary approvals. Coordinate with the planning and purchase departments to ensure materials are ordered within approved rates and quantities, maintaining adherence to the budget. During project execution, prepare and submit Non-Tender (NT) items or amendment requests to the client as required. Engage with clients for discussions related to amendments and ensure timely receipt of revised or additional work orders.
