Job summary

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Facade Design and Facade systems, including concept development and detailing.
• Candidates should possess solid understanding of Building Envelope design, including integration with structure and services.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Structural Engineering related to facades, such as load calculations, connections, and material behavior.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Building Physics, including thermal performance, daylighting, acoustics, and moisture control.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree in related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Facade Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for the technical design and performance of building facades and envelopes. Day-to-day activities include developing facade concepts, carrying out detailed engineering calculations, and preparing drawings and specifications in coordination with design and project teams. The role involves assessing structural integrity, thermal and acoustic performance, weatherproofing, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. The Facade Engineer will collaborate with architects, contractors, and suppliers, review shop drawings and material submissions, support site installation, and troubleshoot design or performance issues during construction. The position also includes contributing to value engineering, risk assessments, and continuous improvement of facade systems and materials.
