AFI is seeking a hands-on Engineering/Construction Surveyor to support projects from initial site verification through construction, fabrication coordination, and final handover.
This site-based role focuses on mark-outs, setting-out, site layout control, as-built surveys, and site verification to ensure designs fit actual site conditions and keep projects moving smoothly.
AFI is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Engineering / Construction Surveyor to join our Engineering team and support projects from initial site verification through construction, fabrication coordination, and final handover.
This is a practical, site-based role focused on construction mark-outs, setting-out, site layout control, as-built surveys, and site verification. Your work will help ensure that what we design and fabricate fits actual site conditions — preventing costly rework, minimizing delays, and keeping projects moving efficiently.
We welcome both Philippine Licensed Geodetic Engineers and experienced construction surveyors with a proven track record in fieldwork. A professional license is an advantage, but strong practical construction survey experience is equally valued.
What You’ll Do
Carry out construction mark-outs, setting-out, and site layout for structures, foundations, grading, and utilities.
Verify site dimensions, levels, and existing conditions before fabrication and construction begin.
Conduct as-built surveys to confirm that completed works match approved drawings and designs.
Provide responsive, day-to-day survey support to Project Managers, engineers, and construction teams.
Identify and report site discrepancies, potential clashes, and construction risks before they lead to rework or delays.
Use drones/UAVs and photogrammetry for site mapping, progress monitoring, and stockpile or volume checks.
Establish and maintain site control points, reference levels, survey records, and field documentation.
Coordinate with Civil, Structural, and CAD teams to ensure accurate survey information is reflected in project drawings.
Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations and GPS/GNSS instruments.
Coordinate with external Licensed Geodetic Engineers when statutory, cadastral, boundary, or land titling work is required.
What We’re Looking For
At least 3–5 years of relevant construction surveying experience.
Proven experience in construction mark-outs, setting-out, and site layout on active project sites.
Experience verifying site conditions before fabrication or construction.
A degree in Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
Practical knowledge of total stations and GPS/GNSS survey equipment.
Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, survey data processing, and Microsoft Office.
UAV/drone mapping and photogrammetry experience is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and technical documentation skills.
Clear communication and effective coordination with engineering, project, and site teams.
Willingness to travel to project sites and work in active construction or fabrication environments.
Licensed Geodetic Engineer? We’d love to hear from you.
Experienced construction surveyor without a professional license? You are equally encouraged to apply if you have the practical skills and experience required for the role.
The Person We Want to Join Our Team

At AFI, we value engineering that is not only technically correct, but also practical, buildable, cost-effective, and suited to efficient fabrication, installation, and long-term operation.
Why Join AFI?
Work on practical engineering and construction projects from site verification through project completion.
Play a direct role in improving construction accuracy and reducing costly rework.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary Engineering, Operations, and Project teams.
