Virtual Staffing Solutions in the Philippines is seeking a probationary Medical Records/EMR Clerk to support Merida-Leyte Operations. You will receive and process faxes, verify documents, and ensure accurate indexing in the EMR/EHR system, aligned with patient records.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare administration, medical records, or document management preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. health insurance plans, eligibility and benefits verification is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient data confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work on shifting schedules, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and monitor incoming and outgoing faxes from healthcare providers, hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, and insurance companies.
• Review medical documents for completeness and eligibility, routing to appropriate departments as needed.
• Index, categorize, and upload medical documents into the EMR/EHR system, matched to patient records.
• Identify duplicates, incomplete, or misassigned records and escalate discrepancies as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and safeguard PHI while meeting quality, productivity, and turnaround time standards.
