Job summary

Eucalyptus is entering an exciting phase of expansion and seeks a Lead Accountant to build the EMEA accounting function from the ground up in the Philippines. You’ll work directly with the UK-based finance lead and the global team as the most senior accountant in the country.

You will own reconciliations, journaling, and bookings for EMEA entities, support new market launches, and bridge APAC-EMEA hours while mentoring the local team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience with progression into complex roles
• CPA or CA qualification
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations, general ledger management, and bookings
• Experience in international or offshore accounting, ideally in a global shared services environment
• Exposure to EMEA accounting
• Experience in or with an international SSC
• Comfortable with EMEA hours and prior cross-region work
• Big Four background welcome but not required

Responsibilities

• Own hands-on accounting for reconciliations, journals, and bookings for EMEA entities
• Support accounting setup and ongoing operations for new markets
• Bridge time zones between APAC and EMEA teams for continuity
• Provide mentorship to the Philippines-based accounting team
• Build processes and improve existing ones as the business scales
• Collaborate with Senior Managers in Australia and the UK and the broader GL team
