Job summary

Eucalyptus is expanding its EMEA accounting function and seeks a Lead Accountant in Manila to build the function from the ground up. You'll report to the UK finance lead and work with a global team across time zones and markets.

The role requires 8+ years of accounting experience, CPA/CA qualification, hands-on reconciliations and GL management, and international/shared services exposure. Hybrid work is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience with progression into complex roles.
• CPA or CA qualified.
• Hands-on reconciliations, GL management, and bookings experience.
• Experience in international/shared services and EMEA exposure.
• Comfortable working across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own hands-on accounting for reconciliations, journal entries, and bookings for EMEA entities.
• Support the accounting setup and ongoing operations for new market launches.
• Bridge time zones between APAC and EMEA teams, ensuring continuity.
• Provide informal mentorship to the Philippines-based accounting team.
• Build processes where none exist and improve existing ones as the business scales.
• Collaborate with Senior Managers for Accounting and Financial Control in Australia and the UK, and the broader GL team.
