JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for performing proactive and reactive maintenance and troubleshooting of all electrical/electronic control units, and pneumatic and hydraulic control equipment in CCL, PU Lines, WWT, roll forming plants, warehouses, fabrication shop, and other related machinery and equipment.
JOB SCOPE:
Major Tasks
- Performs and completes the tasks given by his supervisors on time, on or before the set due date.
- Conducts proactive maintenance by means of adjustments and retightening, and checks motors and motor control units (contactors, relays, solenoid valves, wires, sensors, encoders, etc.) condition on a daily basis to ensure the prolonged lifecycle of machinery and equipment.
- Coordinates with Electrical Leadman, Maintenance Engineer – Systems/Electrical and Facilities with regard to proactive and reactive maintenance activities on machinery and equipment.
- Coordinates with production line personnel on duty for test runs and turnover of all jobs undertaken.
- Performs troubleshooting of technical problems encountered in all lines (CCL, PU, & RFD), WWT, handling equipment, roll forming plants, warehouses, and machine and fabrication shops.
- Assists in the fabrication of control panels and other control systems.
- Recommends improvements and innovations on machinery and equipment in aid of minimizing downtime, increasing productivity, improving product quality, and promoting safety.
- Assists in the improvement of Proactive Maintenance Programs of the department.
- Updates maintenance daily reports or logbooks.
- Prepares and submits required maintenance reports.
- Renders overtime and always ready to render on-call duty during emergencies as a result of the breakdown of plant machinery or equipment and other similar incidents.
- Observe and implement maintenance programs, company policies, and safety rules and regulations.
- Observe and implement good housekeeping at their workplace and clean and keep electrical tools and equipment accounted to him.
Minor Tasks
- Attends company-initiated activities.
- Attends meetings aside from major related activities (ISO, Safety, Engineering Club, etc.)
- Conducts plant and warehouse visits to assess quality systems and do safety observations
- Supports and demonstrates ownership of health and safety in his/her area of responsibility
- Performs other duties that may be required by the immediate supervisor from time to time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Graduate with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology with at least two years of related work experience in the field of industrial plant maintenance.
- Master Electrician is an advantage.
Experience:
- He must be familiar with motor control, PLC concept, VFD, and electro-mechanical equipment such as pneumatic and hydraulic solenoid valves and cylinders and controls.
