Qualifications

• Qualification or certification in electro-mechanical technology, electrical engineering, or related discipline.
• 1–2 years' practical experience as an electro-mechanical technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems: wiring, circuit analysis, power distribution, control systems.
• Proficiency in mechanical systems maintenance: bearings, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic/testing tools (multimeters, scopes, thermal cameras).
• Commitment to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment to identify faults and solutions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electro-mechanical systems (motors, pumps, compressors).
• Conduct electrical testing and measurements to ensure parameters meet specs.
• Repair and recalibrate faulty components per safety standards.
• Maintain maintenance records and parts usage documentation.
• Install new electro-mechanical equipment per specs and blueprints.
• Coordinate with team for scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical support to operations as required.

About the role

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician (MST) to join our team in Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems within a dynamic, professional environment. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and optimising our complex electro-mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency for our clients and internal operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electro-mechanical systems, including motors, generators, pumps, compressors, and related components

• Conduct electrical testing and measurements using specialised equipment to ensure systems are operating within specified parameters

• Repair, replace, and recalibrate faulty components whilst adhering to safety protocols and industry standards

• Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation of all work completed and parts used

• Install new electro-mechanical equipment and systems according to technical specifications and blueprints

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to operational staff as required

What we're looking for

• Recognised qualification or certification in electro-mechanical technology, electrical engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum of 1–2 years' practical experience working as an electro-mechanical technician or in a similar technical role

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit analysis, power distribution, and control systems

• Proficiency in mechanical systems maintenance, including bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics

• Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints

• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging cameras

• Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the trades and services industry

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Physical capability to perform manual tasks and work at heights when necessary

• Preferably based in or willing to work in Pasig City, Metro Manila
