Job summary

BENSON INDUSTRIAL COLD STORAGE INC. in Makati Jupiter is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to oversee inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment and building facilities.

Responsibilities include preventive/corrective maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, motors, pumps, and control systems; troubleshooting of electrical components; and coordination with contractors for major repairs. Shift work and safety compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electromechanical, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC-R, or related technical course.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in electromechanical or maintenance operations.
• Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, elevator, and building maintenance is an advantage.
• NC II or relevant technical certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, motor controls, and mechanical systems.

• Conduct regular inspection and maintenance of motors, pumps, compressors, generators, electrical panels, control systems, and other equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of HVAC and refrigeration systems and coordinate with specialized technicians when necessary.
• Conduct inspection and basic maintenance of elevator systems and coordinate with accredited elevator service providers for major repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, wiring, sensors, switches, relays, and other electrical components.
• Perform mechanical repairs involving bearings, belts, pulleys, pumps, valves, and other mechanical components.
• Assist in installation, testing, commissioning, and modification of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential problems before breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, parts, and equipment condition.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for equipment repairs, maintenance, and installation.

ELECTROMECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

JOB SUMMARY

The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and proper operation of electrical and mechanical equipment and building facilities. The position supports the continuous and safe operation of equipment and promptly addresses equipment breakdowns and maintenance concerns.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, and building equipment.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, machines, and equipment.

• Conduct regular inspection and maintenance of motors, pumps, compressors, generators, electrical panels, control systems, and other equipment.

• Perform basic troubleshooting of HVAC and refrigeration systems and coordinate with specialized technicians or contractors when necessary.

• Follow company safety policies, procedures, and applicable safety standards at all times.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the maintenance area and work site.

• Perform other maintenance-related tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor or management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of Electromechanical, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC-R, or any related Technical/Vocational course.

• With at least 2 years of relevant experience in electromechanical, electrical, mechanical, facilities, or maintenance operations.

• Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, elevator, and building maintenance is an advantage.

• With NC II or relevant technical certification is an advantage.

• Knowledge of electrical wiring, motor controls, mechanical systems, and equipment troubleshooting.

• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical diagrams.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Physically fit and capable of performing maintenance work.

• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Willing to be assigned at Makati Jupiter.
