Job summary

MHI Power Technical Services Corporation is seeking a Design Engineer (Business Development Officer) to join our Mandaluyong City team in a full-time capacity. The role blends engineering design leadership with strategic business development to drive our projects forward.

You will oversee design initiatives, manage technical teams, and foster client relationships to support growth objectives across Mitsubishi Heavy Industries business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PRC).
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in engineering, business development, or project development.
• Strong technical research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of engineering design software is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Must be willing to undergo the hiring process and work on-site in Mandaluyong.

Responsibilities

• Support business development initiatives for various Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Business Units, including Gensets, EBLOX, ORC, and Chiller Systems.
• Conduct technical research, market analysis, and pre-feasibility studies to identify business opportunities and evaluate project viability.
• Prepare technical proposals, reports, presentations, and recommendations based on research findings and project evaluations.
• Coordinate with internal departments, principals, clients, and external stakeholders during project development activities.
• Provide technical support and product knowledge through training and presentations for various MHI Business Units.
• Perform other duties related to business development and engineering as assigned.

About the role

As Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our engineering projects forward whilst identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for overseeing design initiatives, managing technical teams, and fostering client relationships to support the company's growth objectives. This role requires a dynamic professional who can bridge the gap between technical excellence and commercial success.

• Support business development initiatives for various Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Business Units, including Gensets, EBLOX, Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), and Chiller Systems.


• Conduct technical research, market analysis, and pre-feasibility studies to identify business opportunities and evaluate project viability.


• Prepare technical proposals, reports, presentations, and recommendations based on research findings and project evaluations.


• Coordinate with internal departments, principals, clients, and external stakeholders during project development activities.
