Job summary

Hire Overseas is seeking a Data Intake Specialist in a 100% remote role to clean, match, and structure government HR data for a US software platform. You will reconcile job titles and labor classifications, convert salary figures to annualized values, and ensure consistency across large datasets using Excel and Google Sheets.

You will work with accuracy as the top priority, perform repetitive precision work, and communicate clearly about data issues.

Qualifications

• Very high attention to detail to ensure accurate, cleaned, and standardized records.
• Fluent written English and clear communication of data issues.
• Comfort with repetitive, precision-driven work and strict accuracy standards.
• Proficiency with Excel functions (VLOOKUP, conditional formatting) and sheet-wide consistency.
• Ability to organize, document, and maintain structured data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Data Matching and Reconciliation: combine salary data and job descriptions into one accurate record.
• Data Cleaning and Quality Control: detect duplicates and apply formatting standards across the dataset.
• Light Research and Documentation: verify classifications and document issues and resolutions.
