Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Data Quality Engineer to own automation of data quality frameworks within a lakehouse environment, ensuring complete data and resilience against schema anomalies across enterprise assets.

You will design validation, regression testing, and SLAs, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve data defects and improve reliability. This 100% remote role offers international opportunities and competitive USD compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Quality, or a related role.
• Proven expertise in data quality automation within Databricks lakehouse environments.
• Hands-on experience implementing automated DQ validation, regression testing, and completeness SLAs.
• Strong knowledge of schema drift detection and Great Expectations or Deequ-style frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated data quality validation frameworks across pipelines and data products.
• Develop robust mechanisms for schema drift detection to capture format variations dynamically.
• Establish and enforce data completeness SLAs to guarantee high-integrity data availability.
• Build automated regression testing suites tailored to lakehouse architectures.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify, isolate, and resolve structural data defects.
