Job summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct crew changes in compliance with the Seafarers’ Employment Agreement and as agreed with Crewing Superintendent.
• Verify that all Seafarers are trained and qualified in full compliance with Company’s, STCW and Flag State requirements.
• Inform Crew Wages Department on changes of employment status (signing on/off).
• Inform relevant parties of medical cases/accidents and follow up.
• Arrange for Cash to Master.
• Verify and approve payment of Travelling Expenses upon request.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Be conversant with and implement the Company’s Management System.
• Contribute to development or amendment of procedures.
• Promote continual improvement within the Crewing Department.

The Crewing Operator shall have the following qualifications:

Job Description

The Crewing Operator is responsible for:

• Conducting crew changes in compliance with the Seafarers’ Employment Agreement and as agreed with the Crewing Superintendent;
• Verifying that all Seafarers are trained and qualified in full compliance with Company’s, STCW and Flag State requirements;
• Informing Crew Wages Department on any changes of the employment status, i.e. signing on and off of seafarers;
• Informing relevant parties of any medical cases/accidents and follow up of these cases;
• Arranging for Cash to Master;
• Verifying and approve for payment of Travelling Expenses upon request;
• Performing any other special tasks as may be assigned;
• Being adequately conversant with the Company’s Management System;
• Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System;
• Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
• Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement.

The Crewing Operator reports to and is accountable to the Crewing Superintendent or to the Assistant Crewing Superintendent as required.

The Crewing Operators shall work closely together and communicate effectively with each other. They shall back each other up thus contributing to the smooth operation of the Crewing Department during their absence.
