Job summary

ING Hubs Romania is looking for a CPS Performance and Rewards Expert to manage end-to-end payroll operations and support compensation, benefits, and performance management. You will partner with HR, Finance and vendors to ensure accuracy, timely delivery, and governance adherence.

The role requires 3–5 years of payroll experience, strong Philippine payroll knowledge, advanced Excel, and the ability to drive improvements in processes, controls, and data reporting across the region.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll operations experience with end-to-end payroll and year-end activities.
• Experience supporting multi-country payroll operations, APAC/Europe or international regions.
• Background in Shared Services/GBS/SSO/BPO or outsourced payroll environments.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll compliance (BIR, Form 2316, Alphalist, SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG).
• Advanced Excel and payroll data analysis with reconciliations and reporting.
• Understanding of payroll governance, internal controls, and data privacy.
• Self-directed and results-oriented with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage and validate compensation, benefits, performance management, and payroll activities across the full process lifecycle.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with policies, controls, and statutory requirements.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Local People Services, payroll vendors, benefits providers, and other stakeholders.
• Lead the resolution of complex payroll issues, discrepancies, escalations, and risks via root cause analysis.
• Drive process standardization, efficiency improvements, and automation opportunities.
• Maintain process documentation, support onboarding and knowledge transfer, coach team members.
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance; manage workload and escalate risks.

Role Summary

As a Performance and Rewards Senior Specialist, you will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations and supporting compensation, benefits, and performance management activities.

• Manage and validate compensation, benefits, performance management, and payroll activities across the full process lifecycle, from payroll preparation through post-payroll reconciliation, reporting, and audit support.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and adherence to policies, controls, statutory requirements, governance standards, and service level agreements.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Local People Services, payroll vendors, benefits providers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, issue resolution, and service excellence.
• Lead the resolution of complex payroll issues, discrepancies, escalations, and operational risks through effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive process standardization, efficiency improvements, automation opportunities, and service enhancements to improve employee and stakeholder experience.
• Maintain process documentation and knowledge repositories, support onboarding and knowledge transfer activities, and coach team members on BAU operations and best practices.
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance, facilitate stakeholder discussions, provide strategic recommendations, manage workload distribution, and proactively elevate risks and dependencies.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 3 to 5 years of payroll operations experience, with strong exposure to end-to- end payroll processing, compensation and benefits administration, payroll validation, reconciliations, statutory compliance, employee inquiries, and year-end activities.
• Experience supporting multi-country payroll operations, preferably across APAC, Europe, or other international regions.
• Background in Shared Services, Global Business Services (GBS), BPO, SSO, or outsourced payroll environments is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll compliance, including BIR withholding tax, annualization, year-end tax processing, Form 2316, Alphalist reporting, and statutory contributions such as SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
• Advanced Excel and payroll data analysis skills, with demonstrated ability to perform reconciliations, variance analysis, data validation, and payroll reporting.
• Solid understanding of payroll governance, internal controls, audit requirements, data privacy, and the handling of confidential employee information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
• Self-directed and results-oriented, with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
