Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related engineering/technical discipline.
• Professional licensure is an advantage but not mandatory.
• 3–5 years of cost estimation, quantity surveying, tender preparation, project costing, or bid management experience.
• Experience in building construction, industrial facilities, commercial developments, infrastructure, or electrical installation work preferred.
• Experience reviewing drawings, BOQ, tender documents.

Job description

The Cost Estimator shall be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, bid proposals, and commercial evaluations for engineering, construction, maintenance, and technical service projects. The position requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, procurement, labor productivity, and project execution to ensure technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or any other related engineering or technical discipline.
• Professional licensure is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, tender preparation, project costing, or bid management.
• Experience in building construction, industrial facilities, commercial developments, infrastructure projects, or electrical installation works is highly preferred.
• Experience in reviewing engineering drawings, plans, technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and tender documents.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Quantity take-offs
• Material and labor costing
• Equipment and subcontractor pricing
• Construction methodologies
• Cost analysis and budgeting
• Familiarity with electrical installation works, including low- and medium-voltage systems, is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other estimating software. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Planswift, MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with engineering, procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Able to work under tight bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following will be given preference:

• Commercial and industrial building construction
• Electrical installation projects
• Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works
• Power distribution and utility projects
• Preventive maintenance and facility engineering
• Testing and commissioning
• Renewable energy projects (Solar PV, BESS)
• Engineering service contracts
• Design-and-build or EPC projects

Work Setup:

• Full-time position.
• Field-based with regular office reporting.
• Requires frequent client visits, meetings, and occasional site inspections.
• May be required to travel within and outside Metro Manila as business needs require.
